Being outside in nature enhances our physical and mental well-being in many ways. The places and things we surround ourselves with in our environment have a strong impact on our mental health. This can be evident through the example of walking through busy streets within a city, this environment can boost stress and anxiety as there are so many different things going on in one place. Whereas if we are in nature, enjoying a day in the park, this quiet atmosphere surrounded by green trees and grass improves many things connected to our mental health. For example improved sleep, reduced anxiety and boosts positive emotions. Even the lighting that we are surrounded with in our environment plays a key part in how we feel.
